Sunday January 27th twelve beautiful people from all over Ct came to a Pot Luck Lunch at CATCH A HEALTHY HABIT CAFE! What an amazing time we had! Such awesome food, such incredible sharing and friendships were made!

THIS IS WHAT YOU HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TOO!

This place will be ALIVE! Alive with energy from people - from living food, a place that will make a difference way beyond raw chocolate treats or super food smoothies, you will learn about life, food, you will make friends for life, you will enjoy your self!

Rookie meets the Veteran

Saturday night January 19th I met a man who has been doing what I am set to do for the past 8+ years and still going strong! Arnold from Arnold's Way in Landsdale PA.
30 seconds after meeting Arnold & telling him what I am about to embark on had me in the kitchen making Green Smoothies!
At the monthly potluck that featured Philip http://www.lovingraw.com/ speaking after dinner, telling his story to standing room only crowd, I had the best time ever!


I was watching in real time exactly what I want to create!

WHAT DO I WANT TO CREATE?
1. A judgement free zone that a raw foodie for years, a raw foodie in training or a standard
american diet follower can enjoy themselves over a juice, smoothie, salad, soup or a piece of
chocolate made with love and the best ingredients.
2. A place that the locals, the college crowd (UNH, SCSU, YALE, ALBERTUS MAGNUS,
GATEWAY CC) and those passing by to NYC or BOSTON can merge and play on their
computers (wi-fi), their guitar, chat, watch a movie, a lecture, share their story or just
plain chill out!
3. Support system A for Raw Foods - chef for a day, raw food counseling, food for the week,
green smoothie cleanses, food prep classes. retail for all, talks with elementary & MS & HS
kids about "You are what you eat" ...


COME AND JOIN ME AS I ADD LIFE TO WEST HAVEN THROUGH FOOD & ENERGY!

The Early Stages of Creating A Raw Cafe

IT ALL STARTS WITH THE WATER! YOU NEED GOOD WATER!
But Before having material things like water filters, a vita-mix, a dehydrator, ice cream maker... YOU ALSO NEED AMAZING FRIENDS!
I have that! Paul Ayoub, a friendship I started while attending http://public.integrativenutrition.com/ drove 40 minutes on a Thursday with tools & filter, then had to go twice to the hardware store before the water was drinkable!

Another keeper is Lisa Storch; also a friendship that began at the same nutrition school,
started the day cleansing my home office, I threw away or http://www.freecycle.org/
so much stuff I felt like I lost 10 pounds!
Later we went to IKEA with a list of stuff. 30 minutes into it I had shelving,
kitchen equipment and fun dish towels from the kids section.
I am closer to opening!
We ended the night with Dinner on me at http://www.ahimsainc.com/ in New Haven Ct
they have great raw food options on the menu! The Lasagna rivaled http://www.purefoodandwine.com/

Opening Day is Nearing

CATCH A HEALTHY HABIT CAFE is coming soon!

1st I want to introduce myself!

I am Glen Colello a 38 year old who is set to venture into
opening a RAW FOOD CAFE & RETAIL SHOP!

Ever since walking into Organic Ave in NYC (then on Ludlowe St) http://www.organicavenue.com/products/index.php

I wanted CT to have a place to buy raw food, raw snacks, raw necessities and most of all to just plain hang out! A Coffee House feel without coffee!
Well 4 years later here I am. The universe offered & I signed a lease!
The space features already working cafe, tables, chairs, fridges... they were looking for someone to sublease.
An in less than 3 weeks I will be open for business!
